This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets out the basis on which X DISTRIKT, operated by IEX Recreational Playground LLC or any of its licensed or affiliated operating entities (collectively, “X DISTRIKT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, processes, stores, and discloses Personal Data.
X DISTRIKT operates immersive, competitive, team-based laser arena experiences involving physical movement, wearable equipment, real-time gameplay systems, and on-site participation. Due to the nature of these activities and the participation of minors, X DISTRIKT adopts heightened data protection, safety, and governance standards.
This Policy is issued pursuant to UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and applies to all Personal Data collected through our website, booking platforms, gameplay systems, surveillance systems, and physical premises.
This Policy forms an integral part of the X DISTRIKT Terms & Conditions and shall prevail in matters relating to Personal Data.
For the purposes of this Policy:
“Agreement” means, collectively, the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Parental Consent Form, Medical Declaration, Waiver, Safety Rules, Booking Conditions, and any other policies or notices issued by X DISTRIKT from time to time.
“Applicable Law” means all applicable federal and local laws, regulations, decrees, directives, and judicial decisions in force in the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai.
“Authority” means any governmental, regulatory, judicial, or law enforcement authority having jurisdiction.
“Company”,“X DISTRIKT”, “we”, “us”, “our” means IEX Recreational Playground LLC and/or any of its licensed affiliates, subsidiaries, branches, franchisees, or authorised operators operating under the X DISTRIKT brand.
“User”means any person who accesses the Website, books a session, enters the premises, or interacts with X DISTRIKT in any manner.
“Player”means any individual who participates in any Activity at the X DISTRIKT premises, whether as a paying customer, guest, or invitee.
“Child” / “Minor” means any individual under the age of eighteen (18) years.
“Parent” / “Guardian”means a person who has legal custody or lawful authority to consent on behalf of a Child.
“Staff”means any employee, contractor, instructor, referee, marshal, supervisor, or representative of X DISTRIKT.
Activity” / “Activities” means all laser-based arena games, simulations, training scenarios, team competitions, free-play sessions, tournaments, events, and any related physical or recreational activity conducted at the premises.
“Arena” means any designated gameplay area, including enclosed arenas, corridors, rooms, obstacles, staging areas, briefing rooms, and equipment zones.
“Gameplay” means participation in an Activity, including movement, interaction, competition, scoring, and use of Equipment.
“Gameplay Data” means technical and operational data generated during Gameplay, including player identifiers, team assignments, scores, hits, eliminations, timestamps, system logs, and performance metrics.
“Equipment” means all items provided or used during Activities, including but not limited to laser guns, helmets, vests, sensors, headgear, wearables, and any related accessories.
“Safety Equipment” means any Equipment intended to protect Players, including helmets, vests, protective padding, and monitoring devices.
“Inherent Risks” means risks that are an integral and unavoidable part of the Activities, including but not limited to running, sudden movements, collisions, falls, low-light conditions, physical exertion, equipment interaction, and competitive stress.
“Incident” means any event occurring at the premises involving injury, damage, misconduct, rule violation, equipment malfunction, or safety concern.
“Injury” means any physical or psychological harm, discomfort, strain, or condition arising during or in connection with participation in Activities.
“Medical Condition” means any illness, injury, disability, or physical or psychological condition that may affect safe participation in Activities, including conditions aggravated by exertion, flashing lights, or stress.
“Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, including identification, contact, gameplay, safety, and CCTV data.
“Sensitive Personal Data” means Personal Data relating to health, medical conditions, biometric data, or other categories requiring enhanced protection under Applicable Law.
“CCTV” means closed-circuit television systems and any other video surveillance or recording systems used at the premises.
“Recording” means any video, audio, photographic, or digital recording, whether captured by CCTV, staff, or automated systems.
“Processing” means any operation performed on Personal Data, including collection, recording, storage, use, disclosure, or deletion.
“Booking” means any reservation or purchase of a session, event, membership, or Activity, whether online or on-site.
“Membership” means any prepaid or subscription-based access plan offered by X DISTRIKT.
“Fees” means all charges payable in connection with Bookings, Memberships, or Activities.
“Waiver” means any release, assumption of risk, or limitation of liability executed by a User or Parent/Guardian.
“Indemnity” means an obligation to compensate X DISTRIKT for losses, claims, damages, or liabilities arising from a User’s actions or breach of the Agreement.
“Gross Negligence” means conduct involving a serious disregard for a duty of care, as interpreted under Applicable Law.
“Wilful Misconduct” means intentional wrongdoing or deliberate breach of duty.
“Including” means including without limitation.
“Singular and Plural” words in the singular include the plural and vice versa.
“Headings” headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
X DISTRIKT may collect and process the following categories of Personal Data:
Payment card information is processed solely by licensed third-party payment service providers and is not stored by X DISTRIKT.
Children are permitted to participate in X DISTRIKT activities only with the prior, express, and informed consent of a Parent or Guardian.
By providing such consent, the Parent or Guardian:
X DISTRIKT does not knowingly engage in targeted marketing to Children and does not sell or commercially exploit Children’s Personal Data.
Personal Data is processed strictly for legitimate purposes, including:
Processing is based on consent, contractual necessity, legal obligation, and legitimate operational interests.
X DISTRIKT premises are monitored by CCTV and may include photographic or video recording during activities for safety, security, operational review, and incident investigation.
Participation may result in incidental recording. Recordings may be disclosed to insurers, legal advisers, or authorities where required by law.

X DISTRIKT does not sell Personal Data.
Personal Data, Gameplay Data, and surveillance records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, legal, safety, or insurance purposes and are thereafter securely deleted or anonymised.
X DISTRIKT implements appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. However, no system is entirely secure, and data transmission occurs at the user’s own risk.

This Policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
